Scheduled pit-stop...Greenwood, Missouri
- Vehicle transactions: I unpacked one sweet-ride of a Mercedes only to pack up (again) my new rented and oddly smaller, Jeep Wrangler
- Halftime at Camp Hayes: Karl & Jeannie, (gracious hosts) open their home to; me, Arthur, in-laws, kids, grandchild, and 100 close friends and family
- An opportunity to meet more of the Hayes clan, they're everywhere!
- Attend the second wedding reception in a month and same bride & groom (?), cool!
We arrived in Greenwood MO, the home of Karl & Jeannie about 10:30PM. Arthur hit his passenger threshold about 50 miles back. I was pulled over by a state trooper just outside of Missouri. Following a semi-truck too closely in Kansas is against the law and not having proof of insurance could put you in jail! I pulled the pity card and avoided a traffic violation but I was so shook up from my brush with the law, I missed my exit and git lost. We arrive late and a little embarrassed. I was happy to see the familiar faces of "family", anybody's!
.
Arthur feels right at home...
A couple of days off the road was just what we needed at this junction of our journey. I knew we were more than halfway to our final destination. Arthur, on the other hand, thought this was the destination. I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth
