About Me

My photo
I'm Arthur, a Golden Retriever. I was rescued from the streets of Taiwan through the efforts of Golden Retriever Rescue and many kind volunteers in Taiwan. I understand Mandarin and English but cannot speak either. I have the innate ability to smell anything 'round' and I consider myself a real foodie as I'm willing to try just about anything edible. I was adopted by my human in 2009, my human ROCKS; together, we are on a special mission in rounding me into a stellar 'urban dog'! This blog is dedicated to my journey in urban development and the humans who make it possible.

Doggone Tired of Rules

There are so any rules in NY. Stay off the grass, no dogs allowed. Sometimes you just have to break the rules!

Big Dog Big City

Who says NYC isn't a good place for big dogs? We do fine and seem to get much more attention than the small dogs. This guy made me feel a little Chihuahua'ish

One Year After Sandy

One year ago today,  my human was all excited and talking about someone called "Sandy". When Sandy finally arrived, we left our home and met a bunch of other humans in the gym. I had to team with my human-friend Glo, we helped each other walk up 28 flights of stairs. I'm happy this year we are walking down the stairs!

To Bohdi aka Hoo dog

Today my human was staring at that small rectangle she taps on all the time. Then, she started getting water drips from her eyes. Instincts have taught me this his not always good. Then, she sat by be and held on to me for the longest time and said, "you're the greatest dog in the whole world".

Another good human named Margaret, lost her greatest dog in the whole world on Wednesday, his name was Bohdi. Sadly, he had to leave us and is now resting comfortably where all dogs go when they must say goodbye to their humans. If your're a human, remember to take some time from that small rectangle you tap on and stare at so much. Get out and take YOUR best dog in the whole world for a: walk, run, ball toss or anything that makes you both joyful. It's what a good human does!

Are you a good human?

Dogarazzi

You know,  I love New York City in Summer; long days, long walks, outdoor dining, people everywhere! Many people are tourists, I get so many tourists, locals too, who act as if they've never seen a Golden Retriever in their lives! My human says I'm 'one of a kind', I'm beginning to believe her!

"I don't mind the attention, I'm "Representing" my hood!

Meet Remy!

Remy is my new pal. Remy was rescued by my family upstate, John & Ruth. My human says he's more photogenic than I AM! I tend to agree.
