I'm Arthur, a Golden Retriever. I was rescued from the streets of Taiwan through the efforts of Golden Retriever Rescue and many kind volunteers in Taiwan. I understand Mandarin and English but cannot speak either. I have the innate ability to smell anything 'round' and I consider myself a real foodie as I'm willing to try just about anything edible. I was adopted by my human in 2009, my human ROCKS; together, we are on a special mission in rounding me into a stellar 'urban dog'! This blog is dedicated to my journey in urban development and the humans who make it possible.

The Road to Gotham

"Okay, can I drive now?"


Let the journey in urban development begin!  

With just over 3000 miles ahead of me, accompanied by one 85 pound Golden Retriever Arthur, (he's really just 'big boned') I've departed San Francisco in search of a future in Gotham! My friends and family  think I'm absolutely nuts taking Arthur with me to live in New York City. I've watched Arthur accept plenty of change; two continents, 3 moves, apartment life, living with a bitter little Chihuahua named 'Kato', he's even befriended a 'cat-person’! He conforms and adapts to his surroundings seamlessly and without incident, (i.e. no chewed up furniture, whining, accidents on carpets). Arthur would never fully adjust to a life anywhere without me. Well, maybe it's more the other way around.  I'm his human and doggone it, Arthur's moving to New York City
